On the afternoon of November 14, the School of Art organized a student representative in the 1308 classroom to study the general secretary Xi Jinping's letter to the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Wang Fei, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Academy of Arts and vice president, attended the study meeting with representatives of all grades.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. The eight old professors of the Central Academy of Fine Arts wrote letters to General Secretary Xi Jinping, expressing the importance of aesthetic education for personal growth, national construction, and future development. On August 30th, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the State, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission Xi Jinping wrote a letter to the eight old professors of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and extended sincere greetings to them. They also expressed their earnest expectations for doing a good job in aesthetic education and carrying forward the spirit of China and the United States.
At the meeting, Deputy Secretary Wang Fei led the students to learn the original texts of the eight old professors written by General Secretary Xi Jinping to the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Zhou Lingqi, and introduced Zhou Lingqi, Dai Ze, Wu Biduan, Zhan Jianjun, Wen Lipeng, Yan Shangyi, Shao Dajun.
